Pastor Owen L. White-Pigeon Pastor Owen L. White-Pigeon, age 62, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, August 26, 2019, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital. Owen was born on January 21, 1957, in Parker, AZ, the son of Lester, Sr., and Almeda (Pierce) White-Pigeon. He was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians. He married Carol Hall on April 11, 1987. Owen served in the Northern Waters District as a District Superintendent Assistant (DSA) at Kewadin: Indian Mission and as a Part-time Local Pastor and DSA in the Central Bay District at Mt. Pleasant: Chippewa Indian Mission. Owen was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Owen is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Robert (Amanda) White-Pigeon; daughter, Delilah (Haley) Alonzo; siblings, Paul White-Pigeon, Jannette (Russell) Groat, Philip (Lee) White-Pigeon, Lester James White-Pigeon, Jr., and Marion Owens; siblings-in-law, Carla (Stan) Sineway, Connie (Lewis) Sprague, Roberta Starkey, and Foster Hall, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. Owen was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Betsey Hall and Foster Hall, Sr.; sisters, Martha (Norman) Nauni and Esther White-Pigeon; sisters-in-law, Jeanie White-Pigeon and Valerie Esparza. Funeral Services for Owen will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, September 3, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Sam McClellan officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. A Luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 2, at 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 12 noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. |
