Richard (Dick) T. Muessig III, 79, died Sunday, December 14, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Muessig, in 2011. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea (and Todd) Cook and a son, Patrick (and Carrie) Muessig. Richard Muessig served in the following position as a local pastor in the West Michigan Conference: Pokagon Sept. 1992-2001; Retired 2001. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Rugged Cross Church at 61041 Vermont Street, Pokagon, MI 49047. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, with the service directly following. Pastor Brenda Gordon of Pokagon UMC assisted by Rev. Patricia Haas of Keswick UMC of Suttons Bay, MI, will be officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, Michigan.
