Genevieve “Jenny” E. Kroeze

Mrs. Genevieve “Jenny” Elaine Kroeze, age 72 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Tuesday evening, November 10, 2020. 

Jenny was born on March 10, 1948 in Mason, Michigan to Ralph & Bettie (Rice) Hart.  She was a member of Fremont United Methodist Church.  Jenny was very active within the United Methodist community serving as the United Methodist Women (UMW) President for the (former) Grand Rapids District, Board of the United Methodist Community House, West Michigan Conference Nominations Committee and as West Michigan Conference UMW President.  She was employed as a funeral home assistant for Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home for many years. 

On May 6, 1988 Jenny married George Kroeze and he preceded her in death on January 4, 1998.  Jenny was also preceded in death by her parents.  Survivors include her children:  Erik (Kristina) Salisbury of Zeeland, MI., Amy (Curtis) Ceaser of Jacksonville, FL.; 4 grandchildren:  Kassia Salisbury, Tate (Kaylee) Salisbury, Ethan and Eliza Ceaser; stepchildren:  Diane (Jim) Tollefson, Ruth Oosterhouse, Donna (Martin) Steinke, Sheila Grogan; 12 step-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn (David) Gearhart; and sister-in-law, Barbara (Robert) Reed. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Inspire Church, (Fremont Wesleyan) 918 Garden Ave, Fremont, MI 49412, with Rev. Carolin Spragg and Rev. Glenn Wagner officiating.  Masks are required.  Livestream is available through the Inspire Church Facebook Page (facebook.com/liveinspired.church).  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
