This seminar is for administrators, treasurers, pastors and other employees of Michigan United Methodist Churches who are interested in learning about the Employee Retention Credit (ERC). The seminar covers qualification rules, calculation of the credit and what forms to file to claim the credit.
You will learn:

- How to Claim
The rules for the ERC are complex and depend on the period for which the credit is being claimed. Furthermore, the proliferation of ERC advertisements has raised concerns about a flood of improper Employee Retention Credit claims, to the extent that the Internal Revenue Service announced an immediate moratorium through at least the end of the year on processing new claims.
However, churches who have not yet looked at this credit may still benefit from applying. Even though the employee retention credit is not applicable to wages paid to ministers and must be coordinated with any Payroll Protection Program (PPP) forgiven loans, the credit may still provide significant resources to churches.
