“Betty’s Story” Destigmatizing Dementia Movie Screening
June 4 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT

Sunday, June 4 at 11:15 am at First United Methodist Church (227 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids)
Join us for a screening of “Betty’s Story” from the Clark Foundation. In it, we follow Betty from the early days of her dementia diagnosis into the development of the disease.
“Creating this video is an opportunity to raise awareness, reduce the stigma and advocate for those living with this terrible disease. We can’t change where we are right now, but we can change how we get there if we change peoples’ attitudes. If I can help one person or family, this will be one of the most important things I’ve done.” – Betty
Light refreshments will be provided. Denise Niswonger, a member of the Clark Care Team, will be available to answer questions, name resources, and facilitate discussion following the screening. All are welcome at this event. Register online at grfumc.churchcenter.com.
