Camp changes lives

Spring is here and summer is coming. It’s time to register for camp.

Spring is officially here!  We’ve moved our clocks forward and turned our thoughts to warmer days and fun summer plans.  Have you registered your child yet for summer camp?

Now’s the time …

Michigan Area United Methodist Camping offers fun and faith development for kids of all ages at nine unique camps.

Does your child like horses?  There’s a camp for that.

Maybe your teens favorite activity is kayaking, archery or a high ropes course.  There are camps for that.

Want to explore Mackinac Island, camp on the Manitou Islands or backpack on Isle Royale?  You can do those activities through Michigan Area United Methodist Camping, too.

The opportunities for adventure are endless.  And while your children are having fun, they’ll also be making new friends, building confidence and growing in their faith all in a safe, supportive environment.

Camping isn’t just for kids anymore, either.

Adults of all ages can join in the fun at Michigan Area United Methodist camps.

Enjoy a weekend at family camp. Do some canoeing or kayaking. Take part in a seniors’ program or share the camp experience with your grandchildren.

See all of the possibilities for all ages at www.umcamping.org.  Then complete your registration on-line.

Worried about the cost of camp?

First time campers save $50 on the camp of their choice.  Bring a friend and save another $50.  Sign up enough friends and your child can go to camp free.

Scholarships are also available. No young person should miss out on the life-changing experience of summer camp just because of cost.

Have questions about camp scholarships or rebates? Contact Pamela Stewart, Camp Registrar and Executive Assistant for Michigan UMC Camping. Email her or phone 1-888-217-1905.
