Rev. Wesley E. Smith, 86, died today, Wednesday, March 30, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 66 ½ years, Phyllis Smith.
Rev. Smith served in the following appointments in the West Michigan Conference: [Burnips/Monterey Center 1977]; Hersey/Grant Center 1982; Disability leave Feb. 1, 1984; White Pigeon Jan. 1985; Disability leave Aug. 23, 1990; Retired 1996.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Visitation will also be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, Rev. Timothy Wright officiating. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Beacon Hill at Eastgate.
