Rev. Francis F. Anderson

We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Rev. Francis F. Anderson, retired Michigan Michigan Conference clergy who died on October 18, 2018 at the age of 91. 

He is survived by his loving wife Winona, whom he married October 22, 1948 in Ann Arbor, MI; three children, one grandchild, and three great-grandchildren. Francis and his wife served as missionaries in the Caribbean for 15 years. He was a member of the Lansing Torch Club, Kiwanis Club of Delta Township and Holt, and a volunteer with many organizations over the years. Frank was a graduate of the U of M engineering school where he was on the swim team. He worked as a mechanical engineer in Detroit for nine years prior to graduating from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary where he served in the West Michigan Conference before retiring at Hudson UMC in the Detroit Conference in 1991. He was an avid reader, a lifelong learner, nature and music lover, and traveler. Frank will be deeply missed and always loved.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Central United Methodist Church, 215 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
