Rev. Donald “Keith” Laidler

“Human Life’s Journey Ends… New Life Begins,” for Rev. Donald “Keith” Laidler, who passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Appledorn Living Center in Holland, MI. Pastor Keith was born in Dryden, MI on May 19, 1932 to Harold and Merle (Churchill) Laidler. He graduated from Lapeer High School, then began post-secondary school at Owosso Bible College before transferring to Alma College where he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to obtain a Bachelor of Divinity from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, IL and a Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Seminary in Evanston, IL. He ministered at the following Evangelical United Brethren Churches: Coleman Supply; Coleman; Petoskey and Brown City.  He also served at Buchanan: Faith; Leighton; DeWitt: Redeemer, St Johns: First; Paw Paw; Lake Odessa: Central; Montague and Delta Mills United Methodist Churches.
 
Preceding him in death was a son Joseph; siblings Delmar, Jim, and Beverly; and stepchildren Kyle, and Angela. He is survived by his wife Judy of Holland; his children, Sheryl (Roger) Miller, Lynette (Steven) Keteyian, Brent Laidler, and Don (Darcy) Laidler; the mother of his children, Jacqueline Symons-Laidler; a step son Wes (Tracy) Henry; siblings, Belva Currier, Jerry Laidler, and Paul (Bonnie) Laidler; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many extended family and friends.
