The Michigan Conference announces the hiring of Nikira Price as Executive Assistant to Bishop David Bard, effective April 29.
In an email to staff earlier this week, Rev. Joel Walther, Director of Conference Benefits and Coordinator of Human Resources, announced that Nikira Price would begin work as the new Executive Assistant to Bishop David Bard on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Some may remember Nikira from her time working for the conference through a staffing agency, supporting Rev. Dirk Elliot’s work from 2022 to 2024.
Nikira will work full-time in person at the Lansing Ministry Center, 1011 Northcrest Road. She brings expertise in client services, account management, relationship-building, and communication. Nikira can be reached at [email protected].
As part of this staffing transition, the Michigan Conference would like to express its thanks to Deana Nelson, who recently retired. She had served faithfully in this role since October 2011.
