Michigan camps hiring summer staff

Cooks, lifeguards, hosts and more are needed to provide services and hospitality at Michigan campsites.

It may be cold and snowy now, but it’s the perfect season to recruit and hire summer staff for the United Methodist camps in Michigan. If you or someone you know would be interested in joining the Christian camping ministry team, please share this invitation.

A top priority in hiring seasonal staff is building a strong team committed to welcoming and serving all guests with the love and hospitality of Jesus Christ. Every team member is essential to this mission. If you share a love of the outdoors and fellowship in God’s creation, we encourage you to apply.

Albright Park (Reed City)

Judson Collins Center (Onsted)

  • Cook: the position of camp cook is a part-time position for the spring and a full-time position for the summer. Springtime responsibilities include providing meals for guest groups, and summer responsibilities include providing meals for summer campers and staff. This position begins April 1, 2018. Springtime work includes weekends and some mid-week programs. Apply online using the instructions at the bottom of this page.   •  Housekeeper: The camp housekeeper is responsible for the overall appearance of the buildings on camp. Our goal is to keep our camp facilities clean and inviting. How to Apply

  1. Click on “Log In” and create a new account (if you don’t have one)
  2. Click on “Reservations,” then look under New Reservations and click on Your Name under “Make an individual reservation for.”
  3. Scroll down to find “STAFF All Site” Application. Select this item, then scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “REGISTER.”
  4. Complete the application. Check off all sites you are interested in. Be prepared to submit three employer/personal references using their email addresses. You’ll be asked to complete a personal disclosure statement and submit to a criminal background check.
