Marilyn Joyce Ackerman of Wixom, formerly of Clawson and Frankenmuth, passed away on August 22, 2018 at the age of 82. Mrs. Ackerman is the beloved wife of 60 years to Reverend Gordon Earl Ackerman. She is the loving mother of Kim (Michael) VanErp, Lisa Ackerman and the late Cheryl (the late Scott) Schlosser. Grandmother of Ariel, Shelbie and Dakota. She is also survived by her dear friend Shirley Ann Klockenga. Marilyn was born January 27, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to Truman Thomas Huey and Mildred Fern (nee: Burkett) Sanders. She was a devoted, faithful and loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at the Walled Lake United Methodist Church, 313 East Northport, Walled Lake (directly behind Lynch and Sons Funeral Home) Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11 AM. Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Friday, August 31, 4-7 PM and at the church Saturday 10 AM until time of service.
