The Michigan Conference will host workshops in June and July to help local churches and nonprofit ministries learn about and write grants to diversify funding.
Beyond the offering plate and donation box, learning to diversify funding sources for programs and ministry is a great tool in your church or organization’s toolbox. Lisa Batten, Associate Director of Intercultural Resourcing, Leadership, and Fund Development for the Michigan Conference, will be leading these upcoming offerings. If you have any questions about them, email her at [email protected].
Grant Writing 101 and GrantStation Training
Grants are funding sources for existing or new ministry ideas, facility repairs, or new builds. Knowing where to look for grants and how to write for them can be challenging and even intimidating. Participants in this workshop will have the tools they need to search for grants, keep grant-writing information in one location, and identify search criteria specific to their funding needs. Guidance on using the GrantStation online search tool will be provided.
Come, whether you need the basics or are returning to grant writing after a hiatus. There is a $20 fee per person or $40 per group from one church or organization.
Tuesday, July 14, from either 9:30 to 11 am or 5:30 to 7 pm ET
