The Michigan Conference provides a brief report of where we stand regarding Ministry Shares payments from local churches as of August 31, 2025.
We are nearing the end of the third quarter of 2025, and the Michigan Conference would like to report that year-to-date financial giving through August 31 was 49.4% of apportioned Ministry Shares, which is 2% ahead of 2024 for the same timeframe. Ideally, we would be at 60% at this point, but some churches wait until the fourth quarter to fulfill their commitment.

The Michigan Conference celebrates with thanksgiving the 34 churches that have given 100% or more of their Ministry Shares as of August 31. See the list below.
The faithfulness of United Methodist congregations through Ministry Shares fuels life-changing mission, creating vital congregations, bold and effective leaders, and Christ-filled ministry here in Michigan and around the world.
The Michigan Conference also celebrates those who are still on the journey toward fulfilling their commitment, in addition to those who have increased their giving from last year. Every step and every dollar matters.
Thirteen United Methodist churches have at least a 20% improvement over last year, on a year-to-date basis. Some of these churches have already met this year’s goal. That list of churches is also provided below. These are encouraging signs.
Find out on this web page how much your local church has given so far this year.
In whatever capacity, thank you for sharing the gifts God has given your congregation, and for investing in our connectional ministry as United Methodists! Remember, if you need support in meeting your goals, contact the conference and speak to your district superintendent. We are in this together!
