South Lyon First United Methodist Church seeks a part-time Youth Group Leader (8-10 hrs/week) to cultivate authentic relationships and a vibrant youth ministry where young people grow in faith, build meaningful community, and discover their gifts for service and leadership. Through faith formation, fellowship, mission, and service opportunities, the Youth Group Leader will help move students from passive participants to active disciples who contribute to the life of the church and community.
Primary responsibilities for this position are:
- Build and lead an engaging youth ministry through a variety of faith-forming experiences
- Be a consistent, engaged presence at worship, church events, and community activities
- Ensure youth program volunteers are equipped and scheduled while working in coordination with the Director of Faith Formation
