Wife of Pastor Joseph H. Ablett, Wilma M. Ablett was born in Goshen, Indiana on April 20, 1926. She graduated Cum Laude from Manchester College in 1948. She married Joseph H. Ablett in 1949. They are survived by four children; Barbara Riester, Richard Ablett, Barry Ablett, and Marcia Rapp; and four grandchildren. A fifth grandchild predeceased them.
Wilma and Joseph served churches in Michigan at Saginaw, Oscoda, Escanaba, Marysville, and Auburn. They also served in Minooka, Ill, and Maryland. They retired to the Pemberville Otterbein community in 1999 and lived there until their deaths in 2022.
Wilma became a prolific artist during her retirement. She created paintings in oil and watercolors, selling many and winning awards. She also hand-painted cards for family and residents in her community.
