Rev. James F. Thomas and Joyce A. Thomas We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Rev. James Thomas, retired Detroit Annual Conference clergy and his wife Joyce Thomas, retired Detroit Annual Conference diaconal minister, who passed away following an automobile accident on May 31, 2018. James served in Indiana and Ohio prior to transferring to the Detroit Annual Conference where he served at Farmington Hills, Nardin Park & Orchard; Grand Blanc; Saginaw First and Swartz Creek. Joyce served Methodist Children’s Home Society; Davison and as Chaplain at Saginaw General Hospital. Visitation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1225 12 Mile Rd. NW, Sparta, MI 49345, (616) 887-9417 on Thursday, June 7 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 pm with a reception following at the church. The interment will take place at a family cemetery in Rochester, Indiana on Friday, June 8, 2018.
