Rev. Douglas K. Olsen We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Rev. Douglas K. Olsen, retired Detroit Annual Conference clergy who died on July 15, 2018. Douglas served congregations in Detroit, Ferndale, Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor and finally as the pastor of the Dundee United Methodist Church until his retirement in 2015. He was active in the Ann Arbor District and the Detroit Annual Conference, was a member of the Conference Journal Committee for 30 plus years, was chair of the district building and church location committee for 25 plus years, a member of the District Board of Missions, was on the secretarial staff of the Detroit Annual Conference, and was the Executive Board secretary at the Dundee Senior Citizens Center. He was also a member of the Dundee VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) where he served as chaplain. A memorial service will be held at the Dundee United Methodist Church (645 Franklin St, Dundee, MI 48131) at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018, with a luncheon for family and friends following the service. Rev. Bradley Luck, pastor of Dundee UMC, will be officiating the service.
