After marriage Pauline was an elementary teacher and preschool teacher before attending United Theological Seminary. After graduation from seminary Pauline was appointed as pastor to Waterman-Preston UMC in Southwest Detroit. She was active in the community and served as President of S.A.V.E. Next Pauline pastored at St. Paul UMC in Bloomfield Hills and served on the National UMC Board of Discipleship in Nashville.  Before retirement Pauline co-pastored with her husband at South Lyon First United Methodist Church. They purchased a home 25 years ago in South Lyon.

In the midst of all the opportunities to minister, she loved teaching the Scriptures. She often remarked ministry is ninety percent teaching. She leaves a legacy of those who attended her Bible classes, especially Disciple Class. In retirement, Pauline enjoyed crafts, traveling, puzzles, scrapbooking, and most of all shepherding a scrapbook history of South Lyon First United Methodist Church.

Pauline and her family were, and family are most thankful for the support of family, faith community, and friends beyond South Lyon.
