Special Sundays
Special Sundays are designated Sundays throughout the year that provide opportunities for giving. These special offerings are earmarked and support designated ministries.
Special Sundays that qualify as U.S. Project support are: Human Relations Sunday, Native American Ministries Sunday, and United Methodist Student Day.
On these Sundays, we empower our congregations to give toward causes and organizations that promote sustainable life change.
These offerings help offer refuge in times of disaster, promote peace and justice, provide scholarships, reach out to the community, teach skills to encourage self-sufficiency and share the love of Jesus Christ with God’s people everywhere.
Henderson Settlement

McCurdy ministries community center

McCurdy Ministries is a 100+ year old United Methodist National Mission Institution in New Mexico. The ministry provides after school care, preschool,mental health counseling, summer camps,youth programs, adult education, and GED programs along with much more support for people in the community. They serve Española, NM, which has the highest death by heroin overdose rate and one of the highest high school drop out rates in the country.
Mobility worldwide

Mobility Worldwide, formerly known as the PET Project, provides mobility for leg-handicapped persons in developing countries. These mobility carts are designed for rugged rural terrain. The use of the carts helps recipients become more connected to their communities by attending school and religious centers, taking goods to market, and helping with chores. The Mobility Cart can also prevent other health problems. There are three Mobility Worldwide affiliates in Michigan. They are MI – East Michigan (Goodrich), Michigan – Saline, and MI – West Michigan (Holland). The West Michigan affiliate builds carts specially designed for use by children. NOMADS mission volunteers

“Actions speak louder than words,” is the motto of Methodist NOMADS. These retirees travel around the country in their RVs to provide volunteer labor for Methodist organizations (camps, children’s homes, schools, etc.) needing construction, remodeling, and repairs. They also demonstrate God’s love by listening to the people with whom they work. Support of this project will help to cover the cost of needed building materials.
