Beverly L. Marr

September 29, 1950 – December 6, 2025

Rev. Beverly Louise Marr, age 75 of Howell, passed away on December 6, 2025.

Beverly was born on September 29, 1950 in Durand, the daughter of Howard Alva and Pauline Gladies (Hurry) Clark. She married her best friend and soulmate, Frederick W. Marr, on September 10, 1977 in Howell, and together they built a life founded on love, faith, and family.

Beverly attended Cleary University and later attended Methodist Theological School in Ohio where she followed her true calling. She received her Master of Divinity and went on to teach others the Lord’s word. Beverly was a pastor at Lincoln Community United Methodist Church and at Durand United Methodist Church. She was strong in her faith and taught her family to be the same.

In Beverly’s free time, she loved to paint. She was an incredible artist. But being a mom was Beverly’s greatest joy, and she poured her heart into it every day. Her love and guidance will carry through generations.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Frederick W. Marr; daughters, Diantha M. (Eric) Chapman and Dalinda L. Marr; grandson, Dylan Thomas Chapman; reunited children, Katherine (Jim) Winter-Boger and John (Jennifer) Winter; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Pauline Clark, as well as her siblings Rita, Louis, Raymond, Eileen, and Wayne.

A memorial service for Beverly will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, 1230 Bower St., Howell, with visitation an hour prior.

Memorial contributions in Beverly’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).

Memories and condolences can be shared online through Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes.
