Wife of Rev. Lloyd E. Christler, Betty I. Christler, age 91, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Northern Pines Assisted Living-Grayling.
Betty was born on March 18, 1932 in York Township, Union County, Ohio to Robert and Pauline (Printz) Hicks. She was married on August 8, 1952 in Marion, Indiana to Lloyd E. Christler. Betty received a bachelor’s degree in arts. She was a substitute teacher but her love was music and she was an active organist and pianist in multiple churches throughout her life.
Betty is survived by her children; Stan (Beth) Christler, Brad Christler, Gayle (Mike) Scott, and Dianne (Bob) Lane, daughter-in-law; Bonnie Christler, grandchildren; Andy, Erin, Joel, Jessa, Tim and Robyn and great-grandchildren; Simon, Adam, Gerrit and Lily. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Rev. Lloyd E. Christler, son; Dr. Rev. Kenneth Christler, brothers; Robert and Leon Hicks.
Graveside Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday September 10, 2023 at Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake with Chaplain Bill Guigear officiating.
