Barbara A. Kohlmann

March 14, 1944-May 8, 2026

Barbara Ann Kohlmann, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family, on May 8, 2026.

Born on March 14, 1944, in Richmond, Michigan, Barbara was the devoted daughter of the late Helen and Harry Kolts. She was raised in Richmond, where she formed lifelong friendships and graduated from Richmond High School. Driven by a passion for helping others, she pursued a nursing degree in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Her compassionate nature and dedication to her profession led her to a fulfilling career at the Martha T. Berry Medical Facility in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Barbara lived a life filled with creativity and joy. She delighted in making beautiful stained glass, crafting wreaths, traveling, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and she loved orchids.

Barbara’s legacy of love and devotion continues through her daughters Beth (Paul) Westrick and Lynn (Patrick) Kelley, and her step-children Marc Kohlmann, Jeff (Marcia) Kohlmann, and Jon (Wendy) Kohlmann. She will be fondly remembered by her adored grandchildren Abbie (Matt Kukawski) and Tanner, and her step-grandchildren Ryan, Jordan, Jakob, Jonathon, and Christopher. Her sister, Victoria (the late Ralph) Reins, and nieces Ann and Chris also survive her, each with a special place in her heart.

Barbara reunited with her husband, Rev. Kenneth Kohlmann (Retired Elder), who preceded her in death on May 3, 2024. She was also predeceased by her infant son, Scott Vincent Hudson, her step-daughter Lori Munoz, and her parents.

A memorial celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wasik Funeral Home, located at 35259-23 Mile Road in New Baltimore. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many with her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit.
