Archie T. Roberts

June 16, 1937 – September 14, 2022

Pastor Archie T. Roberts, 85 of Wallace, MI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 14, 2022 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Archie was born on June 16, 1937 in Menominee, MI to the late David and Rachel (Schuette) Roberts. Archie proudly served his Country in the United States Army for over 20 years as a chaplain, receiving the Purple Heart during Vietnam. On March 20, 1999 Archie married the former Opal Monks in Silver Springs, FL. Archie was an ordained Methodist minister serving in congregations in Littleton, CO, Ann Arbor, MI and most recently the Daggett Moravian Church until his retirement. Archie enjoyed hunting, going to hunting camp, buck skinning and wood working. Archie was an avid reader and member of the Masonic Lodge. He and Opal enjoyed traveling the country, traveling to all 50 states, in their motor coach.

Archie is survived by his wife: Opal; 4 children: Emily (George) McLain, Jennifer (Matt) Passon, Ann, and David Roberts; stepdaughter: Kimberly (Joe) Milchuck; grandchildren: Abigail, Isabell and Joseph ā€œJPā€; sister: Georgia Roberts; and nieces and nephews.

Archie was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Marilee (Bob) Ash and Rachel Roberts; and his beloved dog: Dusty.

The visitation and funeral was held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home with Reverend Brenda Greenwald presiding. Burial follwed in the Mellen Township Cemetery with full military honors.
