It’s almost time for our annual open enrollment for the Active Health Care Plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Please mark your calendar now for November 2–12, 2026!
Open enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your health care coverage and make changes for the upcoming plan year. During this period, you’ll be able to review your current elections and, if needed:
- Add or remove eligible dependents from your coverage
- Make changes to your health care plan elections
- Enroll in or make changes to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for health and dependent care, if you use that benefit
- Review plan costs, coverage options, and other benefit information
- Make sure your elections still meet your needs for the coming year
Don’t forget that if you don’t use the FSA and aren’t making changes to your plan, you may not need to go through open enrollment. However, if you do use the FSA program, you must complete open enrollment each year to set your FSA amount and continue the program, even if you don’t plan to change the amount you set for FSA. To participate in our FSA, you must complete open enrollment each year!
For now, the most important thing is to save the dates: November 2–12. We’ll share more information and enrollment details as we get closer to open enrollment.
