Introducing your new imaging benefit

The Michigan Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits is always looking for ways to save our participants money and to manage our plan as economically as possible. We’re pleased to introduce a valuable new benefit from Green Imaging for eligible participants enrolled in our active Blue Cross Blue Shield plan or the pre-65 retiree plan with Personify Health.

When scheduled through Green Imaging, many diagnostic imaging services are available at no cost to you. This program is not available to anyone enrolled in our UHC Medicare Advantage program, as these services should already be available to you at almost no cost.

A dedicated Medical Concierge will help coordinate your appointment from start to finish, making the process simple and convenient.

Covered services include:

  • MRI (Open & Closed)
  • CT
  • PET
  • Ultrasound
  • Mammogram
  • X-Ray
  • Bone Density (DXA)
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Arthrogram
  • Echocardiogram
  • And many other imaging services

To arrange an imaging exam, just text, call, email, or fax Green Imaging after obtaining a copy of your physician’s order. The signed order should include:

  • Exam description/CPT code
  • Diagnosis/ICD-10 code
  • Referring provider’s name, fax number, and their physical or electronic signature

Text the following information to 713.524.9190:

  • Your name and zip code
  • A photo of your physician’s order
  • Your group name: Michigan Conference United Methodist Church

Prefer not to text? Try one of these options and include the same information:

  • Web chat: greenimaging.net
  • Call: 844.968.4647
  • Email: [email protected]
  • Fax: 866.653.0882

Green Imaging will get you set up with an appointment and provide you with a voucher. You simply take the voucher to your appointment; there’s no charge, and you don’t need to show your insurance card, just the voucher. If you run into issues, call the number above.

Once your appointment is done, a physician at Green Imaging will read your exam and provide a report to your physician. They can even fax the report to your physician so it can be added to your portal. This process takes anywhere from a couple of days to a week. If after a week your physician hasn’t received the report, please call the number above.

As always, if you have questions, reach out to the Benefits Office. We are here for you!
