I recently was having a conversation with someone about the fact that I own quite a few domain names. I don’t own any actual real estate, but in digital real estate, I’m a veritable baron!
A good domain name helps people find information. In the Michigan Conference Benefits Office, we recently purchased a new domain name as well! You can visit 4MIbenefits.org, which will take you directly to our page on the Michigan Conference website.
We don’t have our own website, but we know that people often are looking to go to the website to find information on benefits and want it to be easy as possible. 4MIbenefits.org does just that. No need to visit the Conference website and then figure out where to click to access the information; you can just use our new domain and go directly to our page.
As you can probably see, we’re continuing to play on the fact that MI can also be read as “my.” I branded myself as MI Benefits Guy, and now our website plays even more with the sounds of our language with 4 (like “for”) MI (“my”) benefits. We’re hoping it’s catchy and easy to remember so you can access it whenever you need.
Additionally, we’ve been working this summer to rework many of the pages in the Benefits section of the website to make it easier to find what you’re looking for. We hope to have this finished by the end of summer (I know, some of us have started school, and surely that means it’s the end of summer, but we still have until mid-September, TECHNICALLY). So, you can visit 4MIbenefits.org now and check it out, and come back in a few weeks to see how it has changed.
That’s the whole point. You can check it out as often as you want, whenever you need. That’s always been true, but we hope that with our new domain, it will be easier than ever. MI Benefits Guy thinks so!
