Compass is live, and so is your balance

With the start of Compass, the new clergy retirement plan through Wespath, on January 1, 2026, you can now also view your Compass balance.

If you log in to benefitsaccess.org, click on “Retirement” at the top, then scroll down to “Recent Transactions.” There, you’ll find a button to “View More Transactions.” Click that button to be taken to your “Transaction History.” In this section, you’ll see your balances in your different accounts, including your CRSP DC balance, UMPIP balance, and now your Compass balance, along with the total of all these balances.

Please remember that if you are already retired, you will not see this because you are not in Compass, as it is only for active clergy.

Active clergy, however, can see what contributions have been made and make sure that the numbers look correct. Remember that if you’re full-time, there should be a monthly $150.00 flat-dollar contribution, and any contributions you make—whether pre-tax, Roth, or after-tax—will be visible, along with matching and non-matching amounts. If you are not contributing, there will be no matching contribution. If you are contributing, that matching contribution should match whatever you are contributing up to 4% of your plan compensation (cash salary plus an amount for housing). The non-matching amount should be 3% of plan compensation.

If you haven’t enrolled in Wespath yet, you should definitely do so. Nearly all clergy are eligible to participate in some plan, and your church is already paying for it through Benefits Billing, so there’s no reason not to sign up. To enroll, reach out to us in the benefits office.
