Registration is open for the United Methodist Creation Care Summit being hosted by Minnesota EarthKeepers at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 26-29, 2018.
This event brings together United Methodists concerned with environmental justice, sustainable food, transportation options, energy systems, climate change and environmental degradation.
In 2009 the United Methodist Council of Bishops made a commitment to renewing God’s Creation in a pastoral letter: God’s Renewed Creation: Call to Hope and Action.
The 2018 United Methodist Creation Care Summit will reflect on the unique gifts and calling of The United Methodist Church at this critical time in the history of the planet, and explore ways to facilitate greater ministry effectiveness through collaboration between local congregations, annual conferences, general boards and agencies, and interest groups.
Detailed information and registration for the Creation Care Summit are available at the event website: www.umcreationcaresummit.org.
