Training pastors in Haiti

In 2014 the Michigan Area renewed their Covenant with the Methodist Church in Haiti. As an expression of that covenant, the Michigan Area Haiti Task Force (MAHTF) is putting emphasis on the equipping of Local Pastors, who will be vital to the growth of the Methodist Church in Haiti.

During the next 18 months MAHTF hopes to reach nearly 500 Haitian leaders- in-training. And so they invite persons to become involved in this special Volunteer In Mission experience with the focus on education of pastors.

Teachers for the fall term are: Ellen Brubaker (WMAC Retired); Rick Dake (Clarkston UMC); Diana Goudie (DAC Retired); Mary McInnis (Mt Clemens: First); and Jeff Nelson (Redford Aldersgate). They will teach New Testament.

The Task Force is seeking three additional facilitators to accompany these teachers, November 11 – 17, 2015. Click here to see the Facilitator’s Responsibilities.

Looking ahead … three facilitators are needed April 13-19, 2016 when the subjects will be Worship and Preaching.
