Lansing churches honor Dr. King

Pastors Sean Holland and Tom Arthur

On January 20 Pastor Tom Arthur invited his congregation, Sycamore Creek Church, to take part in an historic event in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On January 20, 2019 two Lansing churches came together in worship with the purpose of praising God and thinking more about race in America.

As reported by the Lansing State Journal: “The members of Sycamore Creek Church, most of whom are white, visited a mostly black church, Epicenter of Worship, for services in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.”

The report continued, “The partnership grew out of a friendship between Tom Arthur, Sycamore Creek pastor, and Sean Holland, pastor at Epicenter of Worship.”

The witness continued when Pastor Holland brought the message at Sycamore Creek’s Monday night worship venue, Church in a Pub, at Buddies Grill. Arthur and Holland together also shared in a conversation about being black and white in America.
