SUMMARY:SAS Medium-Sized Church Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Simplified Accountable Structure (SAS) redefines how churches make decisions by simplifying the process. Unlike traditional boards\, SAS brings all members\, including clergy and laity\, together in a single accountable structure. This means everyone shares responsibility and contributes to decision-making. SAS encourages open communication and values diverse perspectives\, creating a sense of shared leadership. \nThe second of three webinars on October 23 will explore SAS for medium-sizedchurches\, with 51 to 120 in attendance. Rev. Ron Brooks\, coordinator for SAS for the Michigan Conference\, will provide an overview of the single-board model\, explain the benefits of switching\, and review how the Michigan Conference can assist a small church in implementing this model. Register Now! \nSAS Medium-Sized Church Webinar\nWednesday\, October 23\, 2025\n11 am ET / 10 am CT\nOnline via Zoom

SUMMARY:Spring 2026 Civil Rights Pilgrimage Information Sessions
DESCRIPTION:The Michigan Conference Connectional Ministry team has formed a team of leaders to plan and facilitate a Civil Rights Pilgrimage in the spring of 2026. Participants will discover the rich history and ongoing fight for civil rights as we journey through Michigan\, exploring the stories of marginalized communities. This pilgrimage offers a unique opportunity to engage deeply with the struggles and triumphs of those who have paved the way for justice and equality alongside some of the values and lessons taught to us by Jesus. Together\, we’ll visit key historical sites\, learn from trained facilitators and local leaders\, and reflect on how we can continue the work of creating a world where everyone belongs. \nInterested? Fill out the interest form here: Civil Rights Pilgrimage Interest Form to learn about fall information sessions to be held via Zoom on Thursday\, September 25th at 6:30 pm and Thursday\, October 23rd at 6:30 pm Eastern. \nFor additional information\, contact: crpilgrimage@gmail.com \nBe inspired. Be empowered. Be part of the change.
